Rishon LeZion Cinema City

Complex, 2011

We took the inspiration for the design of the signage system from the world of the old photographic films. This formal element was combined with a decorative and illuminated lighting strip, which winds along the ceiling of the complex, and together the two create a dynamic movement, based on light and image - these are two of the foundations of cinema. The parking space, which serves as a first stop for visitors to the complex, lays the foundations for the visual language of the photographic films and pours into it many cinematic hints, in the form of unforgettable films and iconic characters. In this way, the entire complex is painted with cinematic images, and becomes an integral part of the narrative worlds woven in the cinema halls.

The signage system won the Israeli Design Award.
